The podcasts we recommend to understand your relationship

These shows are in French. If you’re learning the language, they’re also a good way to practice.

We listen to a lot of podcasts about couples. These are the ones we find the most accurate and the most useful, sorted by the 7 dimensions of the test, with at least 3 shows per dimension: therapists and psychologists who explain, people who tell their stories. None of them is affiliated with MyLoveLab: we recommend them because they’re good, and we send you over to listen on their platforms.

Each show’s player only loads if you click it. When a show has no embeddable player (France Culture, ARTE Radio, Canal-U), its card links to the platform where you can listen.

Communication et écoute

Talking to each other, listening, and tackling the topics that cause friction.

Au Cœur du Couple

Soazig Castelnérac et Marylise Richard, founder of the Amour Toujours media outlet and psychologist specializing in couples therapy

Twice a month, a couples psychologist answers listeners’ questions: arguments that go in circles, mental load, sex, blended families. Practical, kind, no jargon: it’s the podcast closest to the spirit of the program.

Couple et amour

Gwenn Melscoët, couples therapist and nonviolent communication mediator

One theme a month, explored calmly: why don’t you understand me, the pursuer / withdrawer dynamic that wears down so many couples, and a whole episode on speaking the right language to feel loved.

Gestion des conflits

For arguments that go in circles, and the repair that comes after.

Couples En Thérapie

Mathilde Defer, psychologist and couples therapist for over 8 years

Every week, a psychologist breaks down what’s going on during a conflict, why you need to reconnect before you try to solve anything, and how to repair step by step. Short episodes, with questions to ask yourself.

La Clinique de l’amour

Delphine Saltel, France Culture, “Les Pieds sur terre”

In a public hospital, a psychiatrist and a psychologist see couples on the brink of separation: mental load, money, desire. Five unfiltered episodes, remarkably accurate.

L’Espace du Couple

Florentine d’Aulnois-Wang, couples therapist, author of “Les Clés de votre intelligence amoureuse”

A couples therapist who talks about attachment, forgiveness, and what fades quietly in a couple. Short episodes, one a week, and real teaching on attachment styles.

Amour, Café & Thérapie

On pause

Laura Baldini, psychotherapist specializing in couple relationships

Twenty short episodes on fear of abandonment, emotional dependence, jealousy and conflict, in the tone of a conversation over coffee. On pause since late 2025, but everything is still there to listen to.

Langages d’amour

Understanding what truly touches the other person, and saying it in their language.

Psychologie et Bien-être

Le podcast de Psychologue.net, psychologists and psychotherapists invited on each episode

Not everything in it is about couples, but the episodes on love languages, emotional dependence, jealousy or the trials of a relationship are worth your time. Professionals, simple answers.

Yes, I Do !

Carole Rocha, podcaster, true love stories and advice episodes

Love stories told with warmth, and advice episodes, including one on the 5 love languages with examples in couples, friendships and families. Light and sincere.

Intimité et désir

Desire, closeness, and talking about it without awkwardness. Adult topics, always with respect.

LOVECARE, en consultation avec Thérèse

Thérèse Hargot, sex therapist and couples therapist

Like listening at the door of her office: people call in, she listens. Fading desire, infidelity, patterns that repeat: nothing is written in advance, everything is real. Adult topics, always a respectful tone.

Raviver le désir sexuel

François Renaud, sex therapist and psychotherapist, in Quebec

A sex therapist answers, season after season, the questions people don’t dare ask: is sex a need, the desire gap, regressing together. Educational and respectful, never crude.

Confiance et soutien

Jealousy, betrayal, repair, and what holds up through headwinds.

EX…

Agathe Lecaron, journalist and TV host

Anonymous people tell the story of the love that transformed them, and often what broke trust, and what they did with it. One episode a week since 2020, more than 300 stories.

Émotions

Marie Misset, Louie Media, journalist, with psychiatrists and psychologists on every episode

A podcast to put words on what you feel, very well produced. For couples: the episodes on jealousy, on fighting, with a psychologist, and “is there always one who loves more than the other?” with psychiatrist Serge Hefez.

Chagrins d’amour

Series finished

Marie Gouillier, author and podcaster

Ten accounts from people who went through a breakup and got back on their feet, each in their own way. A short series, finished, but it still rings true.

La Séparation

Sophie Simonot, France Culture, “Les Pieds sur terre”

The legendary couple of a group of friends, followed from the wedding to the separation, twenty years later, between love and resentment. Seven episodes.

Projet commun

What you build together: dreams, decisions, and the “us” you tell.

Le Cœur sur la table

Series finished

Victoire Tuaillon, journalist, Binge Audio

A documentary investigation to reinvent how we love: couples, friendship, family. Demanding, feminist, often moving. The series is finished, everything is still online, and the transcripts are free to read.

AMOURS

Léa Bordier, filmmaker

Women talk about their relationship to love: passion, doubt, breakup, rebuilding. One episode every two weeks. Valuable for putting words on what you live through as a couple.

Trouble dans le couple

Charlotte Bienaimé, ARTE Radio, “Un podcast à soi”

Why, when we talk about love, do we immediately think “couple”? An episode that questions the couple as a construct, through the stories of Éléonore and Anna. It’s under a non-commercial Creative Commons license, so we point you to the source.

Le couple (conférence)

Jean-Claude Kaufmann, sociologist at CNRS, Université de tous les savoirs, 2005

An hour and a half of accessible sociology on what individualism has changed in couples: from marriage as an institution to the couple you choose. On video, a bit dated, still illuminating.
